Scattered showers and some soggy soggy shoes couldn’t dampen the spirit at the fourth annual Newport 10 Miler. Nearly 3,000 runners completed the scenic 10 mile road race through Newport, R.I. en route to raising $20,000 for local non-profit organizations.

Now in its fourth year, the event has grown into a premier running event in New England. The event has grown in size each year, and has resulted in greater impact throughout the community. This year’s event resulted in a $16,500 donation to the Fort Adams Trust and a $3,500 donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Newport County.
