On October 25th, 2015, 3,500 walkers, runners, athletes, and families participated in the 5th annual Citizens Bank Pell Bridge Run. The event lived up to its name, allowing participants the unique opportunity to cross Newport’s iconic Pell Bridge on foot, while helping to raise more than $120,000 for local charities through event registration alone.

Beneficiaries of this event include March of Dimes, Special Olympics RI, Save the Bay, and other local charitable organizations.

Logistically, the race presents unique challenges and we are thankful for the support of the R.I. Turnpike and Bridge Authority and the 200+ volunteers who worked diligently to make the event a success.
